In WC 2015, initial round has
completed. Now is real war is about to begin. In past few weeks, we’ve watched
some quite tremendous contests in this initial round. First contest was
Pakistan versus India which was considered of high voltage but that couldn't up
to the mark as Pakistan lost the match in no time but yes, there are some fabulous
sorts of matches which can be said as the highlight of the round. Who can forget the
superb match between Australia and New Zealand? It was considered one of the
best matches played in the WC yet. The contest between West Indies and Ireland
was also turned out an unforgettable match for the cricket spectators as
Ireland chased down 300+ target in no time. India Vs South Africa and Pakistan
Vs South Africa contests were also of very high voltage and considered very
important for participating teams. In both these games, South Africa was
considered favorite but they lost both the games. If we talk about the non-test
playing nations, then there was a high level match between Afghanistan and Scotland
in which Afghanistan beat Scotland and scored their maiden victory in the world
cups.
This was the talk about
what was happening in the past few weeks. Now, as we all know, first round is
completed and eight teams are through in quarter-finals. There must be some
high voltage matches are waiting for us. This will be the real test of all the teams
as all teams are considered quality sides. In coming week, Sri Lanka will take
on South Africa on 18th March, India will take on Bangladesh on 19th
March, Pakistan will take on Australia on 20th March and in last
quarter final, New Zealand will take on West Indies on 21st March. Winners
of quarter finals will play their semifinals on 24th and 26th
March and the last two winners will play the WC final on 29th March
where winner will awarded with the WC 2015 trophy and will rule the ODI cricket
for next four years. 8 teams, 4 quarter finals, then 4 teams in 2 semifinals
and at the end there will be two teams in final. Which team will going to win the
WC, the mystery will not take quite long, it is now just a matter of few days…
